Bring the Lexington Philharmonic to your school!

Ensembles in Schools
The Lexington Philharmonic offers a large variety of in-school concert opportunities through our Ensembles in Schools Program. Our ensemble groups provide the best in chamber music and music education presented in a fun, informal, and informative way. Students learn about brass, woodwind, or string instruments with our groups that range from three to five members. Our musicians demonstrate their instruments, talk about the composers, and describe the elements and joys of music-making. Ensembles in Schools is an easy way to introduce primary students to the fun of music and a very effective teaching tool for older students. Please contact our Education Coordinator at education@lexphil.org for pricing and to set up an ensemble in your school.
Instrument Petting Zoos
Introduce students to the instruments of the orchestra in a fun and interactive way! Students hold and play orchestral instruments while learning about sound production and the instrument families. These are one-hour programs for grades K-5. Please contact our Education Coordinator at education@lexphil.org for pricing and to set up a petting zoo in your school.
