Instrument Petting Zoo

Calling all pre-school and elementary school musical explorers! Meet LexPhil at the Eagle Creek Library for an afternoon adventure through the orchestra! LexPhil Education Coordinator, Micha Hughes, will lead demonstrations and explanations of all the instruments in our Instrument Petting Zoo, then turn the show over to you for hands-on instrumental fun! Whether strings strike your fancy, or brass makes you bounce, this will be a fun and educational afternoon you won't soon forget!

Music Tells A Story

A pair of cellists from LexPhil will lead a 45-minute interactive performance. Stick around after to get up close and personal with orchestral instruments in LexPhil's petting zoo.

LexPhil will celebrate the most famous animation in the world—and its equally famous music—when Bugs Bunny at the Symphony II comes to Keeneland on August 16 and 17. Conducted and created by Emmy Award™ winner George Daugherty, Bugs Bunny at the Symphony II is a celebration of the world's favorite Warner Bros. Looney Tunes characters on-screen with live full symphony orchestra accompaniment.
